Mary, Queen of Scots

Okay my first theme. Today it's Mary, Queen of Scots. So Mary Stuart was born on December 8 1542, and was the only surviving legitimate child to James (father) and Mary (mother) 6 days after the birth of Mary her father died it was supposed he died of a nervous collapse. Mary was the new Queen but as she was an infant, Scotland was ruled by regents until she became of age. Mary, now five had been betrothed to three year old Francis I of France (he was not given that title until later on in his life) she was sent to France to live with them for the next thirteen years. She exceeded expectations in lessons. She learned multiple languages; French, Greek, Latin, Spanish, Italian and, Scots (duh!)  She also learned prose, poetry, horsemanship, falconry and, needlework. Mary was considered very pretty. She had auburn hair, hazel-brown eyes, smooth skin and firm features. Mary and Francis grew a bond being together for so long, more a bond of friendship than love. they remained friends for the rest of their lives, until Francis' death in 1560. Mary married two other men and had one son. Later on she was forced to abdicate and the throne was given to her son James. Mary then went to England to see her cousin Elizabeth I. While she was there she and others made three attempted assassinations towards Elizabeth. Mary was dragged into court, and found guilty of treason. She was sentenced to death. One day while Mary was imprisoned, a servant came to her and told her she was to be executed the next day. Mary spent her last hours in prayer and writing her will. In the room of the execution there was a platform that needed five steps to be reached and nothing on it but the block, a disrobing stool and a butchers axe used on livestock before. Mary took her clothing off and blindfolded, laid her head on the block. The executioner accidentally hit the back of her head and her servants thought she muttered " Sweet Jesus!" the next blow decapitated her. Then the executioner lifted her head by the hair and said, "God save the Queen!" then he looked down and saw Mary had grey hair! She had worn a wig to the execution. That is all

A wig to her execution, how bizarre!
